Wow, so after a round at Green Knoll on Labor Day morning, I come home, turn on the TV and see Tiger at -14 after 7 holes? Wow…he has been in quite the zone the past 5 tournaments. Well, the rain continued here through Saturday. We had to cancel a tee time early Saturday as [...]
Well, it continues to rain here in New Jersey, so I am relegated to the artificial turf driving ranges and indoor use of golf training aids. It looks like the rains might break today though. So I am excited to get back out on the course again. It has only been a week, but it [...]
Last night a friend of mine and I went to hit some balls over at Quail Brook. The twilight rate starts at 5:30 PM, and only costs you $10 (if you are a Somerset County resident). If you recall, I have my low round at this course, 82, back a few weeks. So I definitely [...]
Well the weekend trip down to the Baltimore area was an ok trip. Saturday shore traffic turned out to be horrendous, as a trip that would normally take 2.5 hours, ended up taking 5. So that wasn’t so much fun. Then, to top it off, the Jays were down 7 runs in the first inning…ended [...]
Amazingly enough we’re headed out for the weekend without any tee times. Going to goto Baltimore to catch a Blue Jays vs Orioles game, then perhaps stop by a golf course in Maryland or Delaware on the way back. Looking at the top rated public courses in Delaware, I came across this course: Three Little [...]
Alexander over at Golfers Delight found some great golf course photos on flickr, check it out, pretty amazing! On another note, the Deep Rough Roller has been acting a little strange at times, so I’ll have to look into that some. If it’s taking a while to load, just try reloading the page. It updates [...]
This weekend we booked tee times at two of the higher rated public courses in the state of New Jersey, Neshanic Valley on Saturday and Charleston Springs on Sunday. Considerably more expensive than our typical golfing weekend, but it was a nice treat. Neshanic Valley Neshanic Valley is a relatively new course in the Somerset [...]
I’ve added a few new articles to the Golf Articles section of The Deep Rough, be sure to check them out. In addition to a few by contributing authors, I have added one of my own, detailing my experiences with playing a conservative golf style. Shooting Your Lowest Round by Playing Conservative How Golfers Can [...]
Wow…so now I got down to 82, playing at Quail Brook on this past Sunday morning. What a great feeling. The nice thing is (in a way) there were certainly more strokes to be saved around the course. I had a whiff off the tee on one hole, missed a 2 foot putt for birdie [...]
Woohoo, just wanted to post up a quick yahoo! Shot an 85 at Bamm Hollow tonight, Red/Blue course. 7 pars, 2 doubles, 9 bogies. Now, to start shooting below 85 consistantly I’ll post more details tomorrow!
