i used prov1′s all last year but recently switched to the b330rx. i got to test them out at a golf expo and loved the soft feeling so i bought a dozen to take to the course. the difference for me is an improvement off the tee and the approach. i feel that i still have better control around the green with the prov1 but maybe i just need to get used to the b330rx.

Did you find the 330 longer than the Pro V 1 X off the tee?

i played the e 6 and loved it. for some reason the e6+ plays totally different. (worse) i will be returning all unused boxes.
they definitely ruined a good ball with their improvements.

Thanks for the comment Sean. If you can find them, check out the TaylorMade TP Red (for more spin) or Black (for more distance) balls. The 2006/2007 models. They originally sold in the $40 range, but they are being replaced by the LDP models now, so you can find them for about $20 a dozen. Not quite as soft or as much spin as the B330S/ProV1x, but, for the price, it’s a nice value.

Hey there Sean, I just finished off a box of the current Bridgestone B330S golf balls.

Like you, I was a regular Titleist ProV1x ball player, but lately I’ve been playing about with some other balls (yes, I’m a golfing tart).

I really liked the B330S… plenty of spin around the greens and still long enough with the driver… and they don’t scuff up badly.

I’m currently working my way through a box of Srixon ZURC balls, and must say I like how they play… if I can remain faithful I may even get myself another box.

Thing I also like about balls like Bridgestone and Srixon is that you can often pick them up for under retail – they don’t have “Titleist” printed on them, so they probably don’t sell as fast.

Glad you enjoyed the review, I think you’ll like the B330s balls. Another thing that may not have been too clear in the review, if you’re shredding your ProV1x balls with your LW now, you may find that the B330s balls are a little more durable.

I typically play the ProV1x as well and may have to give the 330 a try based on your review. I have never played Bridgestone balls before, but it looks like the performance is pretty solid.
