kenney when tiger swings hard his swing speed is actually closer to 135-140. this produces 185-188 ball speed. the smash factors support that. And maybe the Champions tour members hit there 5 irons 184 but the PGA members hit theirs around 190-210 with normal swings

kenny is correct on his statement, this is all just because tigers carry distance doesn’t correlate to a 140 swing speed

I dont agree with part of Kennys statement. I am not a pro at all and have a handicap of around 14. I can personally carry my 5 iron over 200 yards.

Here are my current stats. I am a average swing speed of 105 to 120.
The only reason i know this is that i hit off a launch monitor very often.

3 Wood 250
Hybrid 230
2 Iron 225
3 Iron Broken no idea
4 Iron 211
5 Iron 205
6 Iron 190
7 Iron 173
8 Iron 164
9 Iron 155
PW 135
52 120
56 110
60 100

These are all at full swings.
So i dont agree with your statement.

i like this info

so much nonsense online about the distances pros hit, the average ss for a pro is 114 average carry around 280

the number of threads you see online stating that pros hit 5 irons 200yards – wrong (184) or average at least 300 yards with the driver

another one is that tiger has a swingspeed of 140mph – wrong mid 120s when swinging hard and ball speed 185-188 flat out

Smash Factor is just the ratio of Ball Speed to Clubhead Speed (BallSpeed/Clubhead Speed). The higher that number, the more efficient the transfer of clubhead speed to ballhead speed. A hit off the toe or heel, most likely will result in a much lower ratio. A good golfer who delivers the club efficiently to the ball, and hit the ball on the center of the face, will generally be around 1.4-1.5.
