<description>It is definitely a big catch for Gatorade and if his influence on the sales of Gatorade are anywhere near the impact he has had on Nike Golf sales, Gatorade would believe that every penny of the reported $100 Million they have shelled out to bring Tiger on their side was worth it.

The money that Tiger has earned from endorsements is almost a billion dollars whereas his earnings on the golf course have been around $100 Million. But then when you are considered to be the greatest player in your field and to be playing in the era of consumerism you are bound to be the most sought after player and no wonder then that the market happens to think he is the most bankable star of the present generation.

The Sports/Energy drinks industry is one of the fastest growing industries and most of the companies vying for market share in this fragmented sector have been seeing a healthy growth year after year. At a time like this Gatorade could make a big jump and leave the competition behind. After all Nike Golf which was a startup when it roped in Tiger woods has gone on to become the leading golf apparel company in the world and one of the major players in the equipment and golf ball world.
