Caddies Wearing Crocs

I saw a little piece on The Golf Channel where they mentioned a growing number of PGA Tour Caddies wearing/being sponsored by Crocs. Currently nine caddies on tour are wearing these comfy shoes, and I don’t blame them. Some of them seemed to be wearing the more traditional shoe type, All Terrain model. While others, like Austin Na, were wearing the Beach style. Austin had mentioned he tried to wear the Lime Green colored ones at some point, but the PGA asked them to stick to subdued colors.

I picked up a pair of the Offroad Crocs earlier this year, mostly for walking the dog in the morning, stuff like that. I had never owned a pair in the past, but I find myself wearing them all the time now. These are such comfortable shoes, nice and supportive, molds to your feet, and weigh next to nothing. I always bring them to the golf course with me as I absolutely love the feel of slipping them on after a long round walking. Great stuff.

I suspect it would be difficult to provide enough lateral support, but it would be interesting to see them develop an actual golf shoe.

** 06/19/2008 — well it seems the people at Crocs did decide to develop a golf shoe, and we have reviewed it, the Crocs Ace Golf Shoe **

  4. My wife bought me a pair of Offroad Crocs just before we went to the Virgin Islands, like the ones you have pictured except the strap is bright green not orange. Don’t knock them til you try them, these are so comfortable and they don’t hold any foot odor.
