Would Eldrick Woods be as Popular as Tiger Woods?

Over the weekend, watching Tiger grind his way to his 13th major, I found myself asking a question: Would Tiger be the marketing machine he is today if he had stuck with Eldrick Woods? No doubt Tiger is one of the most (if not the most) dominant golfers of all time. His accomplishments on the golf course may never be matched when all is said and done. But what is really amazing is how he has become such a recognizable name off the golf course. But could you see people flocking to buy Eldrick Woods golf apparel? EW? Would Nike Golf be where it is today with Eldrick Woods as the face of the brand? What head cover would little kids hold up while cheering for Eldrick at major events?
