2007 PGA Championship Fantasy Golf Lineup

OK…well day 1 of the PGA Championship is complete and let’s have a look at how my Fantasy Golf lineup performed…not so well really, but hey…there are 3 more days (I hope!)

Group A

Starting: Tiger Woods (+1)
Bench: KJ Choi (+1)

Tiger is Tiger. This was my 10th start for Tiger, so I can’t use him again this year. I figured, now is a good a time as any. KJ was my ’sleeper’ pick, as I figured his consistency would keep him in the running in case something terrible happened to Tiger. I can’t see sitting Tiger anytime soon though.

Group B

Starting: Justin Rose (E)
Starting: Angel Cabrera (+11) OUCH!
Bench: Aaron Baddeley (+3)
Bench: Sean O’Hair (E)

Ouch…yeah, that 10 on the par 3, that was painful to watch. Especially when I had him starting! Ok, so, I can’t imagine Angel will be up for tomorrow in any way shape or form. I’m going to stick with Justin Rose and get Baddeley in there. Yes, O’Hair had a better day today, but I just feel that those scores may be flip-flopped tomorrow.

Group C

Starting: Hunter Mahan (+1)
Bench: Henrik Stenson (+5)

Hunter Mahan has been on a roll as of late, and I thought he could carry that into the PGA. Perhaps he’s feeling some pressure to perform in front of all his OSU fans….but +1, he’s still in it. I certainly won’t be playing Stenson in his place.

I don’t think Graeme Storm (His website must be getting hammered tonight) was even an option in the Yahoo Fantasy Golf, so I can’t feel too bad about missing out on him! What a great performance today, let’s see if he and Daly can keep it up tomorrow…
