Here’s a great video on hitting bunker shots out of nice bunker lies as well as buried or fried egg lies. This one was also done by Shawn Clement, the Director of the Richmond Hill Golf Learning Centre. He has a great tip about closing down the club face of a 60 degree wedge for the buried shot, rather than the typical wide open club face used when blasting a typical bunker shot.
I need this guy to come up with a video lesson of hitting out of a terrible municipal bunker with a thin layer of soft sand, laid on top of some wet, packed rocky sand!

Chop down behind the ball - hard. So the club basically buries itself in the sand. I think I actually hit the ball itself just before the sand, but it is with a steep descending blow. This probably isn’t the proscribed method but it works for me every time.
