Spam Experiment

I have used Akismet in the past to filter out spam comments on the site. There were always soooo many spam comments that it picked up (read 1000 a day), that I never bothered looking through them to try and ‘fish’ for real comments that may have been falsely marked as spam.

Apparently there were plenty of legit comments that were ending up in the spam pile that were ultimately flushed down the spam toilet. For that I apologize. Not to the spammers, but to the people who have left legit comments.

So, I’m going to give Spam Karma a whirl, and see how that works out. Hopefully we’ll start seeing more comments from real users while continuing to keep out the Viagra ads
