Congrats to Boo and Brittany

Even though I was playing Ernie in my Fantasy Golf league, big congrats to Boo on his first PGA victory. Those chip-ins on 17 and 18 certainly were clutch…and hey if he can keep doing that perhaps he won’t have to worry about missing the 3 footers for the win in the future.

As for the LPGA, what was going on there? Sure it was windy, but wow, everyone seemed to self destruct as the day wore on. And poor Natalie Gulbis, I hear she was recently diagnosed with anatidaephobia. Obviously this serious condition is playing with her mind, the ducks must have been screaming in her brain…how else could you explain that 8 on 18?

Seriously though, congrats to Brittany Lincicome on her victory at the Ginn Open, she made some great putts down the stretch. Enjoy that very interesting looking trophy, and be sure to pick yourself up another purse next time you’re at the Short Hills Mall.

Back to winged foul…our backyard is currently home to at least 100 Canadian Geese. They were gone the past few days, on account of Nor’Easter 07, but they seem to have found their way back..unfortunately. Lucky me though, I did manage to sneak 18 holes in on Saturday morning, during the calm before the storm. It was, however, quite windy, so I had a chance to try and work on some 3/4 (knockdown) shots. I had varied success. Ended up carding an 86 at Warrenbrook, which, for this time of year, isn’t such a bad score for me…especially given the conditions. The walk was a killer though, definitely out of shape for that walk at this time of year.

Lastly, my thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims of the tragic shootings at Virginia Tech. I cannot even imagine what they are going through.
