Ok, time to leave this cold weather in the North East and head for slightly warmer weather in Nashville, TN. As I mentioned the other day, I’m headed down there for a work related conference. The conference ends Friday morning, so I thought I’d slip in a round of golf before I left! Got the tee-time setup at Gaylord Springs, and I can’t wait to hit the links! From their yardage book, it looks to be a pretty short, and not too difficult course. But given that I haven’t played much in the past few months, it should be interesting.
I’ll have to add the scorecard details for the course on oobgolf, so I can try out the mobile scorecard feature of their site!

I believe this is the old Springhouse Links.
I live about 2 hours away and have been there many times.
You’ll enjoy the 60 degrees of niceness on Friday !
I’ll be playing at Cambridge Golf Links … about 2 1/2 hours away.
Hey-
Let me know how it works out! It should get you through the round- at least we hope so. We’ve had limited rounds tested to this point.
Shoot me an email when you get back. I’d love to hear your experience- good or bad.
Andrew
Well after numerous delays and airport hassels, I’m finally here
How’d you like the course Mike?
Andrew, I’ll let you know!
Would you mind if we “featured” you on the site as you played? We are tinkering with the idea of featuring a “live round in progress” or something like that as a score is being entered on mobile. We could essentially have live score tracking just like the pros.
I’d do a post and point out your specific round as you play on Friday. What do you think?
That would be cool Andrew, sure thing! Though one request, could you check on my account on oob, when I goto the mobile site, I don’t see Gaylord Springs in the list of courses where I can enter scores. How do I get it in there? It doesn’t seem to have all of the courses I have rated, does it limit the number of courses that come back?
Just working through a couple things with that. To get the course- click on “Find Course” on the front page. Once you find the course click on “play tee” next to the tee you will play.
You should be good from there. Let me know if you have any other questions- you may want to try that out beforehand.
Good luck- and keep me in tune with whats going on.
One last quick thing. We did a practice run on your course- and everything works. We have it in the system with the old name- Springhouse, but you will find it under Gaylord Spings as well in a search.
I don’t see a ‘play tee’ ? And I don’t happen to see it in my mobile list. I did a search for springhouse, found the course, clicked on it, but didn’t notice any play tee?
I’m using ie7
The ‘find course’ and ‘play tee’ that Andy is talking about is in the mobile.oobgolf.com site, not the regular site. I am assuming that your looking at the regular site since you mentioned using IE7. If you have Firefox installed you can see it without using your mobile device, by just browsing to mobile.oobgolf.com.
Feel free to test it out, you can always delete a score on the regular site. The live scoring is pretty sweet. Other users (your friends sitting in the cubes at work) can watch your round while its in progress…
Here are the results, shot an 84:
