Early Spring? Thanks Punxsutawney Phil!

Well looks like the little Groundhog saw no shadow this morning, bad news for winter lovers, excellent news for golf lovers! I am going through SERIOUS golf withdrawal here, and with temps expected to be in the 20s this weekend, things are NOT looking up! Hopefully I can at least fit in some time on the range.

So, my winter workout has changed somewhat. For sometime I had been consistently going to the gym in the morning, walking on the treadmill for a mile or two. But, some work related projects got in the way, and waking up early for that routine became difficult. Hopefully I can get back on that horse next week. In the meantime, a friend of mine pointed out this blog entry with an amazing idea for a new years resolution: On day 1 do 1 pushup, 1 situp. Day 2, 2 pushups, 2 situps….by the next New Years you will be doing 365 pushups and 365 situps. Ok, so I missed the boat on that by a month, but hey, it’s not too late to start. I’m on day 4 now, and will have completed 10 pushups and situps today. Assuming I continue with this trend, I should be in the 100s by April. What will this do to my golf game? We’ll find out!

  1. I tried the same program except I substitited push-ups for beers. I am drunk right now ;) . Just joking but good luck!
