According to btbridges over at BombSquadGolf, a fair amount of players at the Sony Open are using the 907D1 and 907D2.
Spent today working the 18th tee during Monday practice rounds and made some observations (pics to follow)…
- Zero, nada, zilch sightings of the TM Superquad
- NO SQUARES!!
- One Ozik…. CHIII is playing a 9.5 Ft-5 with a TP-7X (X flex tipped .75)
- Saw 60+ golfers today between the practice rounds and the crazy “Dream Cup” Pro-am
- Only 10 or so players w/blades and most with Titleist 690’s and 695’s
- Sluman is playing MP-67’s
- 5′ish playing RAC MB’s (Including Daly with his RAC cavity cut-outs filled in)
- 1/2 of all golfers playing Titleist Drivers, split evenly b/w 907D2 and 905.
- Jepsper is playing the 907D1, to which Jason Bohn said he’s the only one who could play it visually.
- Michelle Wie is fighting the blocks… and playing a Sumo. (Bad slice off the 18th tee)
- Jerry Kelly and Chris Smith were by far the chattiest of the day. Kelly even took my camera away and made me take a pic with him, after I got pics of his clubs though
