Callaway releases more FT-i Driver details

Checking Callaway’s website today, they have posted a PDF file with more details on the Callaway FT-i Driver. The little presentation has some nice information explaining MOI and the research they did that lead them to the design of this new club.

Some points from the information:

  • Complete Inertial Design
  • Large MOI both horizontally and vertically
  • Large rectangular face
  • Ability to optimize Center of Gravity position
  • Use of Fusion Technology to maximize total inertia over an all-titanium
    design
  • Less Shot Curvature
  • Greater Average Ball Speed
  • New Aesthetic Quality
  • Arrives February 2007

Below is a design sketch of the Callaway FT-i driver from the presentation. Neat stuff:

I’m still waiting to hear from TaylorMade, where is the new TM square head driver?
