Well, after a long layoff, I thought I almost forgot how to play golf. But, sometimes that’s a good thing. I ended up shooting an 84 on the Blue/Red course at Bamm Hollow, and that was with a couple mental breakdown holes that resulted in a double and a triple bogey.
I really went after the ball with my driver, and was rewarded with a few nice, booming drives…though later in the round, I started getting a little tired and sloppy…so those nice little draws started to turn into slices. I’m not sure what happens exactly, but generally I seem to find it has to do with my spine angle. My back gets a little tighter, I start slouching over more than keeping my back straight…and then the ball starts to leak right.
In any event, an 84 is pretty awesome considering it’s been a few weeks since I’ve played 18. The last time I played any golf, 9 holes at my parent’s little executive course, it was a disaster. This was a pleasant suprise.
On a side note, I’m really starting to enjoy using this Rossa Monza Corza Putter, the alignment aid has been very helpful.
