Well the rain continues here in New Jersey. So it was a golf free weekend. As I mentioned earlier, we hit the driving range on Saturday, and ran a lot of errands on Sunday. Looks like the rain will continue for a few more days, so I guess my golf fix will have to come from the Golf Channel or the driving range.
Maybe it is a good thing it is raining. We went to the gym saturday morning, and I worked on my arms/chest. And phew…they are still sore!
I still wish I could find some closer driving ranges with natural grass hitting areas. So many driving ranges in this area seem to just have the artificial mats. The only two I know of that are somewhat near me is the practice facility at Neshanic Valley Golf Course and the Veteran’s Hospital runs a grass driving range in Lyons, NJ. I really wish I could find some other ranges in Central New Jersey!
I’ve added a bunch of new golf articles to the articles section here on The Deep Rough. If it’s raining in your neck of the woods, and you are stuck inside, have a read through it.

Two years after the initial post, but still of value!
Tara Greens in Somerset, NJ, has a grass driving range and scruffy beginners course.

Thanks for the Tip Tim. I have never been over there, I’ll have to check it out sometime. We have an enormous field behind our place that is great for hitting balls, so I’ve been using that…though the grass is getting a little long these days!
